Why I like it: it has aged well, the tone has bloomed, and it is delicate but complex, not overly boom-y, records well, plays well acoustically. As a layered instrument it is nearly bulletproof, a great daily player, and gigging instrument. And it looks like no other sub $1200.00 out there. The guitarist in defunct bluegrass group Devout Sinners played this guitar. Powerful sounding resonance from that guitar. Similar to a Martin but a completely different timbre.
