The Alvarez AEB P1 Panthera bass was made during the early 1990s. To make the body comfortable to play Alavarez carved and dished the back. Pickups were two full range Alvarez units with the resonant frequency selected to match the bass response of this model. The AEB P1 had a massive bridge to increase sustain. The AEB P1 came in black or white finish. The white AEB P1 Pantera basses had slanted abalone position markers and gold hardware. The black ones had dots and chrome hardware. The design of the Alvarez AEB P1 is very similar to the Westone Pantera bass of the 1980s.
