Information:

Brownsville New York was a house brand name used by Sam Ash (Samson Technologies Corp), named after Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood where the company founders lived. When introduced around 2000 the Brownsville guitars were thinline, mostly hollow bodied (there was a solid body model) and designed to produce twangy rockabilly style sound. The range subsequently expanded, but they were always budget Chinese or Korean made instruments.
