Bruno Boutin first started playing the guitar as a 13 year old and soon began classical guitar training. He built his first classical guitar in 1976 and his first acoustic flat top in 1984. Since then he has made over 70 other instruments. Although self taught, Boutin was inspired by a famous French guitar maker, Daniel Friederich. While in Paris Boutin learned guitar making techniques from Friederich that now contribute to the tone of his concert instruments.
