Cipher brand guitars were made in Japan and distributed in the USA by Inter-Mark in the 1960s. They typically have Inter-Mark stamped on the neck plate with Cipher on the peghead. The Cipher logo is stuck onto the peghead and seems to fall off sometimes with age - leaving "Inter-Mark" on the neck plate as the only brand marking.
