Information:

The Paul Beuscher brand name began in 1850, when Hippolyte Beuscher (who called himself Paul) established himself as a luthier at 27 Boulevard Beaumarchais in Paris. The Paul Beuscher business went on to specialize in the manufacture of accordions - but also distributed other instruments including violins and guitars which were branded "Paul Beuscher" but made by other luthiers. The Beuscher sheet music publishing business expanded rapidly in the 1940s.  In the 60s, when the French developed a taste for American rock&roll music, Paul Beuscher became the French distributor for Gibson, Fender and other guitar brands. In the 1970s Paul Beuscher distributed their own branded guitars which were made in Japan.
