The Charvel Desolation series was introduced in 2011 and featured some new designs not previously seen in Charvel’s 30-year history including the LP style DS models, the DC double cutaway models and the Skatecaster SK models.

It was identical to the SK-1 ST but had a Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 Double-Locking Tremolo. The Skatecaster SK-1 FR has a solid mahogany body, neck-through bound mahogany neck neck, compound radiusrosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and abalone “keystone” inlays, abalone body and headstock binding. The pickups active humbuckers: EMG 85 at the neck and EMG 81 at the bridge with three-way selector switch and a single volume control. |
