Manufacture of the RG2120X began in 2004

Production of the Ibanez RG220 began in 1994 and ended in 1999. Ibanez RG220 models were available in BK (Black) and LR (Lipstick Red). Features included two high output PSND pickups with a standard slide three way selector switch, light weight basswood bodies, single locking tremolos, Wizard II necks, all access neck joint and chrome hardware.

The Ibanez RG270 was a maple fretboard RG made from around 1993 until 2001. Also available with a rosewood fretboard, black hardware and shark-tooth inlays as the RG270DX

The Ibanez RG270DX was like the RG270 but had a rosewood fretboard, black hardware and shark-tooth inlays.

IBANEZ made the RG320 between 1997 and 2003

IBANEZ manufactured the RG320QS between 2001 and 2003

The Ibanez RG370 was made in 2003-2004. The Korean made RG370 came with a wizard II neck, basswood body, jumbo frets, edge pro-II vibrato, powersound-1 neck pickup, powersound-s mid pickup, powersound-2 bridge pickup and finish options jewel blue (jb) or moon shadow (mw). This was a similar guitar to the RG370DX - but the 370DX had shark tooth fingerboard inlays instead of the RG370's pearl dot inlays.

Production of the RG420 began in 1997. It was like the RG320 but had black hardware including Lo TRS tremolo and 2  IBZ V7 and V8 humbucking pickups. Black or blue finish. The 1998 RG420FA version was made in Japan and had a flamed ash top and transparent walnut  finish and  Ibanez INF1 and INF2 humbuckers.

An engraved top version was introduced in 2008 as the RG420EG and the RG420RW (rosewood) model is currently available.

IBANEZ manufactured the RG450 between 1994 and 1998

IBANEZ introduced the RG450 DX in 1994. It is like the Ibanez RG450 but has a bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth inlays. It was discontinued in 1997 and then reintroduced again in 2013 with different hardware. The tremolo is currently an Edge Zero-II. Pickups have also changed in the latest RG450-DX and are currently Ibanez Infinities (HSH configuration).

When it was introduced in 1992 the Ibanez RG470 was intended to be a more economical version of the RG570 - which in turn was a no-pickguard version of the iconic superstrat the RG550. Like these other RG models the RG470 has a humbucker- single coil - humbucker pickup configuration as well as a double locking tremolo. Ibanez discontinued the RG470 in 2004

The Ibanez RG470-FM was a fancier version of the Ibanez RG470, with a bound figured maple top and maple fingerboard. Production of the Ibanez RG470 FM began in 1994 and ended in 1995

The RG470 FX was made between 1994 and 1996

IBANEZ made the RG470 XL between 2001 and 2002

The Ibanez RG470DX features the legendary thin, Wizard III Maple neck and bound Jatoba fingerboard with Sharktooth inlays.

IBANEZ produced the RG520 between 1997 and 1999

IBANEZ produced the RG520 QS between 1997 and 2002

IBANEZ made the RG550 between 1987 and 2002 - it was the budget version of the Ibanez JEM-777 with the same basic body shape and HSH pickup configuration.

From 1987 to 1994 the pickups were V2-S1-V1 then from 1994 onwards they were V8-S1-V7. The original Edge tremolo was changed to a Lo-Pro Edge in 1992.

The RG550 DX was introduced in 1994

IBANEZ produced the RG550 LTD between 1994 and 1996

IBANEZ made the RG570 between 1989 and 2002 as part of their RG series of electrics. The RG570 is like the RG550 but without a pickguard and typically with a rosewood fretboard unlike the maple board of the RG550. The lack of a pickguard means that the RG570 has different body routing to the RG550 and pickup mounting rings instead of pickguard mounted pickups.

When first introduced the RG570 was had Vintage 1 and 2 humbucking pickups and an Edge tremolo. In 1992 the tremolo was changed to the Lo Pro Edge tremolo and pickups were changed to Ibanez V7 and V8 units.

IBANEZ made the first RG7420 7-STRING in 2003

The seven stringed RG7421 is the fixed bridge version of the RG7420. Made in Japan from 2000 to 2003 this model was reintroduced in 2013 as the Korean made RG7421BK. From 2000-2003 the Japanese made RG7421 had V7-7, V8-7 pickups. The pickups on the Korean version introduced in 2013 are Ibanez AH-7s. The new verion is also available in white finish. In 2002 a baritone version the RG7421XLGN was introduced.

IBANEZ began making the RG7620 7-STRING in 2001

IBANEZ manufactured the RG7621 7-String between 1997 and 1999

IBANEZ manufactured the RG770 between 1991 and 1994. It was like the RG570 but had different pickups (IBZ/USA DiMarzio HSH units, F4 at the neck, F2 at the bridge and C2 in the middle) and a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl sharktooth inlays. In 1991 the original Edge tremolo was replaced by a Lo Pro Edge and the middle pickup changed to an IBZ/USA C3.

The RG770DX version was also available with body colored matching pickups and inlays, maple fingerboard and transparent pickguard.
