The JC1 is a hollow body archtop guitar, influenced by the D'Angelico style. Famous players of this model include Jim Mullen and Mike Hansen. The JC1 was designed by John Case (JC) and is built by his long time collaborator Andy Crockett. Jon chose the assymetric shape for reasons of  comfort, balance and better access to the upper frets. Machine heads are positioned for the best string pull and tuning stability, while a wave theme ties together the visual elements of design.

The body is hand-carved with a spruce top and figured maple back and sides. The body is multi-bound with black and white purfling. The 22 fret neck is made from figured maple with an African ebony fretboard, with the same binding as the body.Scale length is 25  and 3/8 inches. Both the head stock and fret markers are inlayed with mother of pearl.

Hardware: gold plated Grover machine heads and handmade gold-plated engraved Crockett tailpiece. The JC has a handbuilt humbucking pickup in the neck position, hand made by Aaron Armstrong. The pickup is controlled by concentric volume and tone concentric controls mounted on the ebony scratchplate.

Finish options are sunburst or blonde. Left handed versions are available at no extra cost.
