I owned one Weston Phoenix X-110 (I believe it was). Felt great to play even beat up and missing 2 strings in a pawn shop...so I bought it. The next year or so I customized it with Grover tuners, new more powerful capacitors, quieter soldering, a Fender teardrop styled jack! Kept the one hum bucker and painted the body purple sunburst. "Purple Haze" as I had named her, was pawned & I couldn't afford to get her back in time. She had a great way of squealing that desired harmonic just right on almost EVERY note I finger nailed.
