EPIPHONE manufactured the FT 37 flat top acoustic guitar between 1934 and 1941. Epiphone described the FT 37 as follows in their 1939 catalog:
F.T. 37
A flat top guitar of new design, in quartered American walnut with specially selected vertical grained spruce top and mahogany neck. Body measures 19.25 inches long, 15.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep.
The new special EPIPHONE extension tailpiece, the famous EPIPHONE cantilever brace in the neck, inlaid tortoise shell pyralin pickguard are standard equipment.Finished in EPIPHONE brown with highlighted top, hand graduated. White pyralin edging for top and back effectively protects and beautifies this instrument.
Available in natural finish of the woods employed if desired. State preference when ordering.
20 frets and genuine mother of pearl position marks inlaid on selected rosewood fingerboard joining body at 14th fret. $37.50.
