EPIPHONE manufactured the CRESTWOOD DELUXE between 1963 and 1969. It was the top of the Crestwood range, having three pickups - one more than the other Crestwood models. You can also identify the Crestwood Deluxe from its block fingerboard markers and ebony fingerboard and larger bound headstock. Introduced in 1963 Crestwood Deluxe was a relatively late arrival to the Crestwood party - so it doesn't have the variations in headstock and pickguard that the other models experienced. Made in Gibson's Kalamazoo factory the Crestwood Deluxe was the Epiphone equivalent of the Gibson SG Custom - both costing $455 in 1966.
