Production of the Epiphone GENESIS DELUXE (model GN-DLX) began in 1979 and ended in 1981. It was a fancier version of the Epiphone Genesis Standard  - but with a bound fingerboard, block inlays and gold hardware. Epiphone reissued this model in 2013 as the Epiphone Genesis Deluxe PRO.
