The Fender American Deluxe Series is a line of high-end electric guitars and basses introduced by Fender in 1998 (as a replacement for the Plus series) and upgraded in 2004 and again in 2010. The current American Deluxe Stratocaster has a compound radius fingerboard, N3 Noiseless™ pickups for bell-like tone without the hum. The S-1™ pickup selector switching offers a greater tonal range. Other Deluxe features are staggered locking tuners, two-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and a beveled neck heel.
