Fender Japan introduced the Pink Paisley stratocaster from 1988 and it was made off and on until around 2008. This is more or less a standard stratocaster, with a basswood body, large headstock and bullet truss rod adjustment. What makes it special is the pink floral paisley finish, which was printed on foil backed paper and glued to the body and pickguard before being oversprayed.
In 2016 Fender Custom Shop issued a 1957 Strat Heavy Relic Limited Edition model for the Winter NAMM show. This model featured Pink Paisley finished oversprayed with a solid color then heavily reliced to reveal the paisley pattern underneath the wear marks.
