The Fender AMERICAN DELUXE 50TH ANNIVERSARY STRATOCASTER was released in 2004 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster. They were made during 2004 only.Fender announced the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Series model in the following press release:

The Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash has a distinctive premium ash grain patterned body combined with the specifications of the American Deluxe Stratocaster including: compound radius fingerboard, N3 Noiseless pickups,  S-1 switching, staggered locking tuners and a two-point synchro American Deluxe tremolo and beveled neck heel.

The Fender American Deluxe Series is a line of high-end electric guitars and basses introduced by Fender in 1998 (as a replacement for the Plus series) and upgraded in 2004 and again in 2010. The current American Deluxe Stratocaster has a compound radius fingerboard, N3 Noiseless™ pickups for bell-like tone without the hum. The S-1™ pickup selector switching offers a greater tonal range. Other Deluxe features are staggered locking tuners, two-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and a beveled neck heel.
