Gibson reissued the 335-S Standard model in 2011 as the 335-S. The 335-S is a solid maple bodied version of the ES-335TD, with slightly smaller and thinner body but with the same hardware and controls. Desgined for players who want the look and feel of the legendary ES-335, but need a smaller, sleeker, solidbody guitar. The 335-S is finished with nitrocellulose Vintage Sunburst or Silverburst finish, pickups are "reverse-zebra-striped" burstbuckers.

The Burstbucker and maple body combo really make this guitar stand out from all of my other Gibsons. Absolute joy to play, and lighter than most Les Pauls, despite being bigger. Could have went a bit more accurate with the original specs, but this guitar really turned out well. My fit and finish is flawless.

Bought my S335 at the Gibson store in Memphis and had it shipped back to the UK, amazing guitar to play, agreat tone and ideal for rock and blues, I can highly recommend this model although I’m not sure how many where made in 2011,won’t be parting with my one....
