The production version of the Gibson Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul was made from August 1997 until January 2001. It was based on Ace Frehleys 1970s Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Specifications included: three DiMarzio Super Distortion (DP100) pickups, bookmatched AA Flamed Maple top, Les Paul "Custom" style binding, Cherry Sunburst Finish, Custom Ace Frehley headstock veneer (of Ace in KISS makeup), Ebony fingerboard with lightning bolt inlays, 12th fret "Ace Frehley" pearl inlay, , Grover Rotomatic (102C) tuners , Gibson Nashville tune-o-matic Bridge, black plastic engraved (Ace of Hearts) trussrod cover.
