GIBSON BLUESHAWK SERIES

The Hawk series were introduced in 1993 and by 2006 all the variations had been discontinued. The Hawk series guitars were designed by JT Riboloff, with this series he introduced a number of features more often associated with Fender guitars. He is no longer desiging with Gibson.

GIBSON LITTLE LUCILLE (DSLL)

The Little Lucille was a Gibson model aimed at blues players. It is a variant on the Blueshawk but with a B.B. King Varitone circuit , a stop tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge. It had a maple top and poplar back, in the a single cutaway Blueshawk body shape.  It had two Blues 90 pickups with hum-cancelling dummy coils. The controls were master volume, master tone with push/pull pot to bypass the Varitone,  a three-way pickup selector switch and a 6-way Varitone control. It came in Ebony, Blues Burst, or Wine Red finishes.

The Little Lucille was endorsed by BB King.
