Production of the Gibson ES-295 began in 1952 and ended in 1958. The ES-295 was used by rock and roll legend Scotty Moore, who backed Elvis Presley on the early Sun recordings. The ES-295 had 2 single coil pickups until 1958 when humbuckers were standard. The raised white pickguard bears an etched flower design.
The ES-295 is currently available as part of the Gibson Historic Series Collection.
