The Gibson Flying V 83 is like the Flying V No Pickguard Model - but with an alder body. The 83 has a maple neck and ebony fingerboard. This model had a tune-o-matic bridge as standard with optional Kahler vibrato.

I have had a red 1983 Gibson Flying V since 1985 or 1986. It sounds awesome looks awesome and still has all the original hardware.
Pickups and everything the only new parts are the strings.
