The LES PAUL HERITAGE SERIES AWARD model was made between 1980 and 1982. It was like the LES PAUL HERITAGE SERIES STANDARD 80 ELITE but had gold hardware, a flamed maple cherryburst top and an individual oval shaped serial number plate attached to the back of the headstock. The Heritage Award is the rarest model from the Les Paul Heritage 80 Series, only around 50 were made.
