The Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard (introduced in 2004 and made by the Gibson Custom Shop) is one of the many Gibson Slash Signature Les Pauls. It had a maple top and was finished in Dark Tobacco Sunburst. Pickups were two uncovered Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pros as well as a piezo transducer Fishman powerbridge (controlled by a small switch between the volume and tone controls, The trussrod cover is marked "Slash" and Slash used this Signature model live with his band Velvet Revolver. There was an initial pilot run of 25 guitars which preceeded the full scale production release.
