The Guild Brian May Signature model was Guild's second faithful reproduction of Brian May's Red Special. Made in 1994 only as a limited edition of 1000 instruments. The pickups were Seymour Duncan reproduction Burn's Tri-Sonics. The tremolo and bridge system are custom made by Schaller and are more accurate reproduction of Red Special than the Kahler units seen on the earlier Guild BHM1 model.

This limited edition run had Brian May's signature as decal on the back of the headstock. Half were made for the US market and the rest were exported. The ones destined for the US had serial numbers prefixed with BHP or BHM, whereas the European ones have ME prefix. Identical models (but without the signature) were called the Brian May Pro and were available in a range of colors.

Finish options were red, emerald green, opaque black and opaque white. All headstocks matched the body color.
