The BRIAN MAY STANDARD (BM03) was made between 1994 and 1995. The Standard has the same body and headstock shape as the Red Special but the similarity ends there. The fretboard is rosewood, the body is completely solid with no sound chambers with no binding on the body. The multiple sliding switches of the Red Special are gone, replaced by a pickup selector switch and coil tap switch . The Standard came with various pickup options: 3 single coils, 2 humbuckers with coil taps and 1 single coil 1 humbucker.
