GUILD produced the S-200 THUNDERBIRD between 1963 and 1968. The S-200 T-Bird is one of Guild's iconic solid body designs. The S-200 was introduced alongside with the S-100 Polara in 1963 and it has a similar design (at least the one pictured in the Guild 1963 catalog) but the S-200 had a bound neck and block inlays. The S-200 Thunderbird originally had two humbuckers, some had two single coils. Controls two volume and two tone knobs - the early ones had a three-way pickup selector - later models had 4 slider switches. By 1966 this guitar came with a kick stand built into its back - but it wasn't very effective and was unstable (look out for headstock damage due to falling over!). Guild reissued the S-200 Thunderbird in 2016.
