GUILD introduced the X50 archtop in 1952. The X50 was a deep bodied non-cutaway archtop the equivalent of a Gibson ES-125 or Epiphone Century. It was intially called the Granada-50, then in 1959 it was renamed the Granada X-50 . In 1960 this model became the Guild Cordoba X-50 The X-50 had a single Guild "Frequency Tested" single coil soapbar pickup. This model was also available as an acoustic guitar (A-50) or as a thinline archtop (the T-50 model).
