Ironic Sans has a collection of links to patents filed by celebrities, have a look at Eddie Van Halen's rock-out guitar-support . Eddie is well known for making guitar stuff, he put together his famous Frakenstrat himself and was never afraid to get the tools out and customise his guitars.
Some more research by guitar-list has revealed other patents filed by Eddie: a device that lets you quickly drop the tuning of a single string (the D-Tuna) and a headstock design .
