ALVAREZ 5032 TIMBER RIDGE #69740
This is an Alvarez Acoustic guitar, model 5032. It was bought around 1994. Condition is very good. The label says "Silver Anniversary" which possibly means the guitar was made in 1990 - when the Alvarez brandname celebrated its silver anniversary. The BlueBook of acoustic guitars, however, says that this model was introduced in 1994 and discontinued in 1998.

The sides and backs of the APX20D are sycamore, and it has a solid spruce top. The neck is African mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. LYS ACOUSTIC GUITARS
LYS
Lys guitars were made in LaPatrie, Quebec. The Lys guitars were built by Canadian luthier Norman Butcher, who also made the Kamouraska classical guitar. In the last part of 1980 fire ruined Butcher's shop and he was financially too weak to rebuild. Hence he sold everything to Robert Godin, who rebaptized the Lys to Seagull and the Kamouraska to LaPatrie.
Make a guitar shaped birthday cake
Kristen Fowler and her friend Shalisa Francis made this amazing guitar shaped birthday cake for Shalisa's sister Denise. You can make one too by following the steps on Denise's website. The tattoo style design on the front reminds me of Luna Guitars. According to Denise it took forever to make and there was A LOT of leftover cake!
