Yuri Landman

Information: 

Yuri Landman is a Dutch experimental luthier, musician and comic artist. He has built electric zithers, electric cymbalum, electric 3rd bridge guitars, and electric Koto. Yuri started making instruments out of wood salvaged from furniture and door frames. He used hardware salvaged from old guitars as well as audio equipment, printers, and other electronic stuff.

Make a cigar box guitar

Cigar box guitars originated in the USA during the depression era, when poor people made their own instruments out of junk. They used an empty cigar box for a resonator. Many examples do not have frets and were played fretless or with a slide. Some have only 1 or 2 strings.

Armor Guitar Company

Each instrument that bears the name Armor Guitar Company is individually hand crafted by luthier James Peters, a 35-year veteran of the musical stage along with 25 years experience in woodworking and instrument repair. With this experience, as a musician and a luthier, he aims to make acoustic guitars with a resonant tone and are a true pleasure to play.

Roger Bucknall started his guitar making buisness in 1973 on the Fylde coast of Lancashire  (hence the origin of the brand name). Within five years his team of 12 and we were making around 1,000 acoustic guitars a year (and the occasional electric), selling all over the world.
