WILSON SAT 2

The Wilson SAT-2 is essentially the same guitar as the Wilson SAF-2, but with a vibrato arm.

Finish is highly polished sunburst polyester. The headstock is black fading into clear for the remainder of the neck. There is a mother of pearl crown inlay on the headstock and mother of pearl dot neck markers.

WEM - Watkins Electric Music

Information: 

Watkins Electric Music (WEM) is a British company founded in 1949 by Charlie Watkins and his brother Reg. WEM started as a record shop in Tooting Market, London, later moving to a small shop in Balham where the brothers began selling guitars and accordions.

Weird sound generator guitar

Dan Wagoner modified his first guitar (a Fender stratocaster) to include a weird sound generator analogue synth. The synth control knobs protrude from a hand made pick guard made from a motherboard. Three switches have been mounted in the fingerboard. This instrument liberates the synth player, allowing them to assume outrageous poses previously reserved for guitarists.

DOT ON SHAFT GUITARS

DOT ON SHAFT GUITARS is the brainchild of Mike and Natalie Carparelli, and is based in Ontario, Canada. The Carparellis studied samples from 20 different manufacturers 5 different countries, before settling on a Korean manufacturer. They produce some interesting designs, including at least six double neck models.

The Starfield brand was created by Hoshino Industries, the parent company of Ibanez guitars. The brand was first used for Gibson Les Paul copies in the 1970s to early 1980s.

Gigliotti Custom Guitars

Information: 

Gigliotti guitars have a brass or aluminium plate top insert, finished in a custom pattern. this lets the guitar top resonate like an acoustic. This metal top is cut with a water-jet then set into a body with wooden back and sides (mahogany or swamp ash). The guitars are finished by Graphite Guitars using polyester base coat with polyurethane color and top coats.

LUNA GUITARS

The Luna brand name is a Dean Guitars (Armadillo Enterprises) derivative fronted by Yvonne de Villiers a stained glass artist. De Villiers designed some inlay patterns for Dean and and they were spun into a product line of guitars.

KRAPPY GUITARS

Information: 

Kevin Siebold, the founder of Krappy Guitars, acknowledges the unspoken truth behind the electric guitar. It doesn't really matter what you make them made out of, it they all sound more or less the same. Too much time and money is spent on fancy materials and finishes for solid body electrics.

Charred star guitar

A guitar set on fire by Jimi Hendrix during a performance was sold for £280,000 after it was found in a garage where it had been lain for 40 years. The blazing guitar was a stunt, designed to generate publicity for Hendrix (he was then a relative unknown on the swinging sixties scene).
