The Hamer SCARAB II was made between 1984 and 1989. It had a unique body derived from the Explorer style Hamer Standard but with a cutout bottom bout. The Scarab II was the two humbucking pickup version - a single pickup version (the Scarab I) was also available as well as a Scarab bass.
