I purchased a pf5 n in 1992 at a now gone guitar shop in East New Orleans. It sounded ok, was a good starter. I ended up buying other instruments, giving it to my daughter and moving on to more expensive guitars. She just brought it back from college and all I can say is this thing has aged well! I live in Utah and it's stayed together despite the dry climate ,neck is straight etc.. It's developed a deep rich sound. Much better than when I originally purchased it. Sounds crazy but it's like this thing is glad to see me, and rewarding my better playing. Definitely a great beginner guitar.. or more. I now see why Monte Montgomery plays his old Ibanez. Note model # 292003.... I'm pretty sure the "92" denotes the year made.
