The EXB445 was the 5-string version of the EXB404 model (but with EMG pickups) and was made by IBANEZ from the early 1990s until 1996. EXB basses were designed with the rock and metal player in mind and had lightweight American maple bodies, hard rock maple necks and rosewood fingerboard. The EXB445 had EMG Select J/J pickups.

Love it. The EMG Select pick up's give it an almost natural type of overdrive. Tone is Amazing. Only thing I would change is I would like the 24 fretted neck instead of the 22. Looks great plays great.

Ibanez EXB445 production dates

Sorry, you're incorrect about the dates. The EXB445 was listed in the 1991 Ibanez catalog and I have one of these models. The serial number for mine starts in '91xxxxx', confirming it was made in 1991.
