2003 | $2100 | new | Paul Hintz | I got one of the last two built, ordered for me by the Ibanez artist representative for this model in the US, Jerry Sims of South Carolina. They stopped the assembly line to built mine and one other. They did a heck of a job, too. I've replaced the cheesy original pickguard with a custom ebony 'Chuck Wayne' style, and replaced the decent stock pickup with an incredible handwound Kent Armstrong with individual pole pieces (having tried a Benedetto and a Duncan PAF with better-but-not-outstanding results). A great guitar, have played hundreds of gigs with it. |

I got one of the last two built, ordered for me in January 2003 by the Ibanez artist representative for this model in the US, Jerry Sims of South Carolina. Beautiful finish, great neck. Very durable. I put one ding in the lower bout---at home, reaching for the phone while practicing. That was adequately touched-up by a local guitar tech. Otherwise, it looks and feels new. A great guitar, have played hundreds of gigs with it.

Well, I purchased one of the last two made, in 2003. It was a special order. Perhaps they dropped it from their catalogs in 2001.
