Brand name:

Product:

  • electric guitars

Series name:

Dates of manufacture:

1987 to 1996

IBANEZ made the JEM777DY between 1987 and 1996: this was the second longest production run of any JEM (the JEM777DY was second only to the FP floral pattern JEM). The JEM777DY has a striking color scheme with Desert Sun Yellow finish, contrasting pink pickups, green controls and green/yellow/pink disappearing pyramid inlays,  The body is basswood. The bridge was an Ibanez Edge (from 1987 to 1990) and then a Lo-Pro Edge (from 1991-1996). The piece maple neck has the dimensions of the Ibanez Wizard neck (frets 21 to 24 are scalloped) and the neck joint is the traditional squarish type bolt-on.
