Introduced in 1996, the Ibanez Pat Metheney Signature model PM100 has a slightly offset semi-hollow body with two bound f-holes. The top back and sides of the body are made from maple, and the body is bound with abalone. The set mahogany neck has a 22 fret ebony fingerboard inlaid with mother-of-pearl / abalone blocks. At the 21st fret there is a block "Pat Metheney" signature inlay. Neck dimensions are: Scale/Length, 628mm/24.75"; Width at Nut, 43mm; Width at Last Fret, 57mm;Thickness at first Fret, 21mm; Thickness 12th Fret, 23mm; Radius, 305mm.
Hardware is gold plated, with an adjustable GB103B bridge and gold plated tailpiece. Single Ibanez Super 58 humbuckerin the neck position controlled by a volume and a tone control. Finish options are black or natural.
The PM-100 is a true jazz guitar, but is slightly more egonomic then the traditional jazz box. The body is a bit slimmer, they also have a double cutaway and the neck joins the body at the 17th fret allowing easier access to the upper frets.
