The D-41DF Dan Fogelberg Signature Edition model is a classic Martin Dreadnought. The top is bookmatched sitka spruce. East Indian rosewood is used for the back and sides and mahogany for the neck. The fingerboard is ebony with hexago inlays. There is 5/16" standard X-bracing under the soundboard and a style 45 mosaic backstrip joins the two-piece rosewood back. Green abalone is inlayed around the top, the soundhole, on the style 41 headstock and on fingerboard begin at the 3rd fret). Dan Fogelberg’s signature is inlaid at the 20th fret. The top, back, headstock and fingerboard are bound with ivoroid binding. Tuners are goldplated Grovers, and there is a bone nut and compensated saddle. Finish is polished gloss lacquer.
