Had a chance to restring a 1987 CC65-12 string. It had been sitting on a stand in a bedroom for several years and needed some love. When I cleaned it up the guitar is flawless. Of course it’s an Ovation Celebrity but it’s real wood with a super straight real wood neck. I put Martin 10-47’s on it and only tuned it up to D. The guitar is a Jem for an 1987 Ovation 12 string. $375 used retail I figure.

Bought this guitar in January 1988. Has been a reliable guitar, has cracking in finish beside bridge (not structural) and no other anomalies. Passive pickup but good sound reproduction and typical ovation action and feel. Paid $550 Canadian at the time and thought it was a bargain. Value holds up well in condition and playability. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on one.
