I got my Ovation Ultra 1312 back in about 1985 or 1986 in the BX Catalog (Military Dept Store) for a little over $200 ( I think) maybe a little over $300. Anyway I still have it and it still plays great! I'm not sure why these aren't cool anymore because they play and sound awesome. It was made in Korea, but I can't imagine the American made one is much better. Great Product and it has stood the test of time.

I bought my Ultra model 1312 acoustic for $200 23 years ago. It has been heavily used, incuding, hundreds of shows and practices, and is still perfect after all these years. The playability is about as good as you'll find on an acoustic. Great sound as well. These guitars are still able to be had for under $300. An incredible value for a quality American made instrument.

I purchased my 1312 at a guitar store at the Ala Moana Mall, Honolulu Hi. for my birthday in 1990. I think I probably paid full price ($600) for it then, but given that I still have it 26 years later, it is well worth it. Somehow I overcame the slipperiness of it,as it doesn't sit well on your lap,and I still play it today!!! The only major damage to it is a crack about 7in. long just off the back of the saddle.I'm not sure how it got there but I have heard that it may just have dried out,or something. As far as I can tell the crack does not affect the sound or any other aspect of her other than you can see it at certain lights. Otherwise she still has that irresistible Ovation sound that made these guitars famous back in the day and I am still proud to display her, and play her.

I have owned my Ovation Ultra for 19 years. I bought it used, back in high school. It still plays and sounds great after all these years and hundreds of shows. It's still my primary guitar.
