The Peavey Patriot was a stratocaster style electric guitar made in the USA from around 1983 to 1986. The Patriot had two super ferrite single coil blade pickups, controlled by single volume and tone controls and a three-way selector switch. There was an optional Peavey Powerbend tremolo available on this model. In 1986 the Patriot with tremolo had a single humbucker pickup & no pickguard (and came in different finish colors), whereas the non-tremolo version had a pickguard, two single coils and was in natural finish only.

American-made Peavey products have consistently provided musicians with the best values. "If you drop a Peavey amp down a flight of stairs, you'll break the stairs" - as the old joke goes. I own a few Peavey amps and two Firenza JX's and a Patriot. The Firenza JX has long been known as "the poor man's EVH model". The two-pickup, non-tremolo model of the Patriot I have is just a great all-round guitar. All three guitars feature awesome playability, quality construction and unique tones. Plus, I got these guitars a few years back for a $100 or less each! If you see a Patriot for reasonable price, buy it.

How can you fault a quality American made guitar for under . $200.I love peavey guitars.they are very well made and play and sound great.I actually prefer playing them over some of my more expensive and well-known brands. I own a t-60, t-30 , patriot and love all of them...
