Supertramp Guitarist Carl Verheyen plays a sunburst Les Paul, high up the neck

[This is a press release] The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is delighted to present an interactive masterclass with former Supertramp guitarist and LA-based session musician, Carl Verheyen.

Studying guitar since the age of ten, Carl Verheyen has built an incredible name for himself in the industry from his time as lead guitarist for British pop group Supertramp to authoring popular instructional books and DVD’s. Referred to as ‘one of the top undiscovered guitar players in the world’ by Guitar Magazine, Carl has been the recipient of the prestigious LA Music Award for ‘Best Guitarist’ and is currently a top session guitarist, taking part in many high-profile projects.  Carl continues to play on other artists’ records and has credits on CDs by the Bee Gees, Cher and many movie soundtracks including The Crow and The Usual Suspects. Carl has worked on the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack for the animated film Ratatouille and projects with acclaimed artists such as Dolly Parton and Christina Aguilera.

On the 27th October 2009, ICMP students will be given the exclusive opportunity to perform with Carl at an educational masterclass, at the ICMP facilities, Kilburn.
