Information: 

Jim Mullen is a Scottish jazz guitarist. His distinctive style, picking with his thumb rather than a plectrum, gives a rounded tone. He has played with Brian Auger's Oblivion Express,  Kokomo and  the Average White Band  and won a number of British music awards. He often favoured a telecaster but has also plays traditional archtop jazz guitars.

Leslie West

Information: 

Leslie West began his musical career in the Vagrants, a teenage R&B band. Felix Pappalardi, sometime producer with Cream, also worked on some of the  Vagrants'  records. This lead to support slots with big acts like Cream and the Who. In 1969 Leslie West went on to form the rock group Mountain with Pappalardi on bass/vocals, the drummer Corky Laing and keyboard player Steve Knight.

Toshihiko Takamizawa

Information: 

Toshihiko Takamizawa is best known as the guitarist from the popular Japanese group, The Alfee. Takamizawa formed the group with three friends in 1973 while studying at Meiji Gakuin University.

Pat Metheny

Information: 

Pat Metheny is an American jazz guitarist and composer. He emerged as one of the most successful and critically acclaimed jazz musicians in 1975 when he joined vibraphonist Gary Burton's band and recorded Bright Size Life with bassist Jaco Pastorius and drummer Bob Moses. He released his next record, Watercolors, in 1977.

Paul Fox

Information: 

Paul Fox is best known as the guitarist of the British punk band "The Ruts". Paul Fox and his childhood friend Malcolm Owen formed the Ruts in 1977.  The Rut's first single issued in 1978 "In a Rut" is a good example Paul Fox's typical guitar style.

Nokie Edwards

Information: 

Nokie Edwards is an American guitarist best known for his work with The Ventures during the periods 1960-61; 1962-68; 1974-84; 1989-92. He has left and re-joined The Ventures four times, in the intervening periods he has bred race horses, worked as a Nashville session musician and as an actor.

Steve Martin

Information: 

Although better known as a comedian, Steve is an accomplished banjist and guitar player. He incorporated some banjo playing in his stand up routine in the 1970s. In the 1984 film "All of Me" Steve played an attorney who is also an aspiring jazz rhythm guitarist.

Slash

Information: 

Slash was born in the UK, to a father who was a graphic designer (with many album cover credits) and a mother who was a fashion designer. He soon moved to the USA, with his family rubbing shoulders with California music industry types though his family connections.

Joe Perry

Information: 

Joe Perry found fame as a guitarist in Aerosmith, who started around 1970 and went on to become one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Perry is a master of the catchy guitar riff: Walk this way and Sweet Emotion are just two examples.

Jeff Skunk Baxter

Information: 

Jeff Baxter has had an interesting career so far, working as a guitarist in the late sixties, joining Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers in the 1970s and lately as a session player and consultant to the defense industry and US government.

Blues Saraceno

Blues Saraceno received his first record deal at 16 with Guitar for The Practicing Musician magazine. His first albums were all instrumental: "Never Look Back", "Plaid" and "Hairpick".
