Your date of Manufacture is incorrect. I have a DM-2 from 1985. Plays great.

I also have a sigma dm2 from the mid 1980s, only known due to the previous owner having all packing material, including a receipt from 1986, from where he purchased the guitar. Most sigma guitars that are not of Japanese origin, are not able to be dated by looking in the soundhole, records of labels and stamps were not logged correct. If you don't have a receipt, then it is a shot in the dark on the date, unless you have first owner knowledge on purchase dates for a rough estimate.
