The Spector Performer 4 was first introduced in 1998. This entry level model was initially called the Spector NS-2000-B because it was the bolt-on neck version of the Spector NS-2000, but the model name was changed to Performer 4 in 2003. The design was upgraded in 2005. These basses were initially made in China but more recently in Indonesia.
The Performer 4 has 2 EMG Stuart Spector designed passive double coil pickups controlled by two volume and two tone controls.
