Production of the SPITFIRE began in 1965 and ended in 1967. The
Spitfire had a contoured body somewhat like a stratocaster, with 3 pickup mounted single coil pickups mounted on the pickguard like a strat. It had rosewood fingerboard, and a spring vibrato (like a Bigsby).

The teardrop shaped semi acoustic Spitfire MK VI Vox is nothing like this model, apart from the vibrato.
