The sides and backs of the APX20D are sycamore, and it has a solid spruce top. The neck is African mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. The D suffix indicates a slightly deeper body than other APX guitars: the body depth is 90mm (neck side), 100mm (bridge side) with a 12mm round back bulge. It has a unique asymetrical oval shape soundhole with an asymetrical bridge.
The nut and saddle are made from urea. Machine heads are gold coloured. Scale length is 25-5/8" (651mm) and fingerboard width 1-11/16" (43mm).
The APX20D is a stereo model with multiple bridge sensors that independently pick up separate strings (2 way Piezo Pickups: Bridge + Internal). The electronics include a customised I.C. preamp and battery check LED with volume, treble, bass and mix controls
Finish options are cream white (CW) or antique stain sunburst.
