ALVAREZ stopped making the 5214 REGENT DELUXE in 1998. It was dreadnought acoustic guitar: the soundboard was spruce top and the rest of the guitar mahogany in natural finish only. It had black and white body binding & soundhole rosette. It had a black pickguard. Fingerboard was rosewood with dot inlays. The bridge was rosewood bridge with black pins. Machineheads were 3-a-side chrome units available.
When it was new the 5214 regent deluxe sold for around $300, but secondhand values are still around $300.

i bought this Alvarez Regentr 5214 guitar off of a friend for $70. i liked the action right off, but the sound just wasnt there, i took it to my local guitar shop and had them put on a bone nut and saddle and light Elixer strings, this was a total of $70. Now i have $140 into this guitar and it plays and sounds good.
