The Alvarez AE 800 bass was discontinued in 1995 - I am guessing it was introduced in the late 1980s but please comment below if you know the date. The Alvarez AE 800 was known as the Villain Professional Bass in the Alvarez catalog and came with a solid alder body, Canadian maple neck, EMG  P/J pickups and active EQ circuit. Finish options were black, red and walnut. There was also the similar Villain Deluxe Maple model (the AE 800 CS -Cherry Sunburst) which had an American curly maple top and sunburst finish. The 5 string version of this bass was the AE 900.

Manufacture of the AE 800 CS bass ended in 1993.

The Alvarez AE 900 5-STRING bass was discontinued in 1993. I don't know when this model was introduced - I'm guessing the late 1980s. It was the 5 string version of the Alvarez AE-800. The AE 900 model came with solid alder body, Canadian maple neck, 24 fret rosewood fingerboard, active P/J pickups by EMG.and active EQ circuit with 2 tone and 2 volume controls. This model was called the Villain 5 String Bass Professional in the Alvarez catalogs and came in black and red pearl finishes.

Production of the AEB 200  VILLAIN BASS began in 1995 and ended in 2000. The Alvarez AEB 200 came in three finishes: natural (AEB 200 NA), transparent black (AEB 200 TBK) and transparent red (AEB 200 TRD). It had one dual (split) coil and one single coil pickup, designed by EMG and colored black with white logo. The AEB 200 has offset dot inlays from the 12th fret upwards.

ALVAREZ manufactured the AEB 250 NA VILLAIN 5-STRING (AEB 250 TRD) between 1995 and 1999

The AEB 260 WA VILLAIN 6-STRING was made between 1995 and 1999

The AEV 410 was discontinued by ALVAREZ in 1993

ALVAREZ stopped making the AEV 425 in 1993
