The Avante Gryphon is a short-scale 12-string acoustic guitar hand made under license as a more affordable version of the Veillette Gryphon. The short-scale design (tuned D to D) allows sparkling highs and punchy mid-register so guitarists can play mandolin-style parts without using mando tuning. The Avante Gryphon is also a guitarist-friendly alternative to traditional folk instruments like the bouzouki, mandocello, and Cuban tres and cuatro.
